Ashwin V. George, MD, offers his medical expertise and compassionate demeanor to patients at Valley Medical and Wellness. Dr. George has more than a decade's worth of experience working as a hospitalist, managing cancer pain for palliative care patients. He is triple-board-certified in internal medicine, palliative care, and addiction medicine. 

In addition, Dr. George is an executive board member and chair of the advocacy committee of the Minnesota Society of Addiction Medicine. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Dr. George co-founded Valley Medical and Wellness in 2014 and currently serves as the company's Chief Executive Officer. He is committed to personally helping patients overcome addiction so they can live full, quality lives.

As a Board-Certified Addiction Medicine specialist, Dr. George provides treatment for opioid dependence, heroin addiction, alcohol, benzodiazepines, and methamphetamine dependence. He also offers careful, considerate, and effective addiction counseling services, as well as treatment for addiction patients also suffering from chronic pain. He is one of the few physicians certified in Minnesota in Suboxone® treatment for narcotic addiction.
