Dr. Varma is a highly respected psychiatrist with more than two decades of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care to individuals across the lifespan. Since beginning practice in 2003, he has earned a reputation as one of Minnesota’s leading psychiatrists, known for his clinical expertise, innovative approach to behavioral health, and commitment to improving the lives of his patients.
At Valley Medical, Dr. Varma oversees mental health services and is dedicated to expanding access to high-quality behavioral healthcare. He is a strong advocate for a new paradigm in psychiatry that goes beyond traditional medication management to include innovative, evidence-based approaches such as interventional psychiatry and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). TMS treatment and support are a central focus of his work, helping patients access advanced, non-invasive options for depression and other mental health conditions.

We accept most major insurance company health plans, as well as most Medicaid and Medicare Plans. We are a member of the VA Community Care Network and take TRICARE for active and retired military personnel and their families. We also accept insurance through auto insurance.
