
Welcome Valley Medical's Newest Provider, Ashley Lardy, PA-C

Valley Medical and Wellness was thrilled to welcome new provider Ashley Lardy, PA-C to the team in July. Ashley is returning to the area from Florida where she completed her training at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL last December. She’ll be working out of the Burnsville, Minneapolis, and Woodbury clinics. Read on to get to know her better.
Q: Are you originally from Minneapolis or Minnesota?
A: I am originally from Hudson, WI, a suburb of the Twin Cities.
Q: Where did you go to school?
A: I earned my Master of Clinical Medical Science and completed my PA training at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. Prior to that, I completed my undergraduate studies at UW–La Crosse, where I majored in biology.
Q: What areas of medicine have you previously worked in / studied?
A: During my PA training, I completed three clinical rotations in behavioral health, including one focused on addiction medicine. Before PA school, I worked in gastroenterology as well as in geriatrics and assisted living, where I gained valuable experience in patient care and chronic disease management.
Q: What interests you most about chronic pain medicine and addiction medicine?
A: I’m drawn to chronic pain and addiction medicine because of the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients while supporting them in managing complex and often deeply personal health challenges.
Q: What are you most looking forward to doing in your role at VMW?
A: I’m excited to build meaningful relationships with patients, be part of a welcoming, knowledgeable team, and continue learning every day.
Q: Care to share some hobbies outside of work?
A: Outside of work, I enjoy reading, practicing restorative yoga, going on walks, and spending quality time with my loved ones—including my two cats, Pixie and Romeo.
