We connected with VM's Human Resources Generalist Cindy Tayag who's been working with us for two years now to learn more about what she does and how she's helped us grow.
"I currently work as an HR Generalist at Valley Medical, and I’ve been in this position for nearly two years. My journey with Valley Medical has been rewarding, offering a mix of professional growth and hands-on experience. Before joining Valley Medical, I gained valuable experience in Human Resources in the offshore setting, which has allowed me to contribute significantly to areas like recruitment, onboarding, and payroll. What excites me most about my current position is the opportunity to help aspiring candidates find job opportunities and to work alongside such a dedicated and talented team.
My background in Psychology naturally led me to healthcare administration, where I was able to apply my interest in human behavior to workforce management. I began my career in a medical hospital, where I worked for four years and gained a deep understanding of the workforce management in the healthcare setting. This foundation has been valuable in my role at Valley Medical as an HR Generalist.
As part of the offshore community, I play an integral role in the new hire onboarding process, collaborating with various departments to ensure a seamless workflow for remote teams at Valley Medical. I work closely with our offshore teams to ensure they are integrated effectively into our operational structure.
I am fortunate to work alongside passionate, dedicated professionals who are all committed to improving patient outcomes. It’s inspiring to witness the team come together to achieve our shared mission. I’m proud to be part of an organization that continually strives to make a positive impact on healthcare, and the dedication of the team motivates me to push myself and my colleagues to be our best.
Outside of work, I have a passion for arts and crafts. I enjoy crocheting and creating dried flower bouquets, which provide a perfect balance to my professional life. A fun fact about me is that I’m the proud owner of two male cats named Mochi and Mucho. They keep me company during my shift, adding a little extra joy to my day. I believe in the importance of personal and professional growth, and I’m grateful to be part of a company like Valley Medical that supports both aspects of my life."
